Tri-Nation Series 2022 Schedule Confirmed

Pakistan and Bangladesh will play a tri-nation series 2022 in New Zealand, a country on the shores of Tasman, to cope with the conditions before the T20 World Cup 2022. Pakistan will play in the series along with hosts New Zealand and Bangladesh. The schedule for the tri-nation series has been released by New Zealand Cricket (NZC).

The tri-nation series will start on October 8, just before the World Cup. Bangladesh will face host New Zealand in the first match of the tournament. In this two-legged tournament, each team will face each other twice.

Bangladesh’s matches in the tournament will be held on October 8, 10, 11 and 12. The final of the tournament will be held on October 14. All matches of the tournament will be held at Hagley Oval in Christchurch.

Bangladesh will tour Zimbabwe before the tournament in New Zealand. In this tour, Bangladesh team will play three ODIs and T20s against Zimbabwe. The Tigers will definitely get a chance to play 10 Twenty20 matches before the World Cup. If they can reach the final of the tri-nation series, the number of matches will stand at 11.

Bangladesh played a tri-nation series before the last 2019 ODI World Cup. Bangladesh’s opponents in that series were West Indies and Ireland. The Tigers won the series held at the Irish ground. This is the only multinational tournament title of Bangladesh cricket team so far.

Bangladesh will start the tournament on October 24 this year with a match against the defending champions of Group A in the preliminary round of the World Cup. Bangladesh will play directly in the Super Twelve of the tournament. Bangladesh has group partners – India, Pakistan and South Africa. In the preliminary round, Group ‘A’ runners-up and Group ‘B’ champions will be added to Bangladesh’s group.
