Trent Bolt Holds the Record for the Most Test Runs at Number 11

New Zealand fast bowler Trent Bolt has set a world record for the most test runs batting at number 11 position. He is now the owner of the highest run in the world as the 11th batsman of 22 yards in white. He has set this ‘record’ behind Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan.

Trent Bolt is New Zealand’s last batsman and holds the record for highest run as the 11th batsman. Batting at number 11 in 69 innings, he has scored 640 runs so far. Earlier, the record was held by Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan.

Bolt has been the No. 11 batsman in both innings of the last Trent Bridge Test. He scored 18 runs with the bat in the first innings. He made 16 runs in the second innings. As the 11th batsman, he now has 640 runs next to his name. Highest run innings of 52 runs. That too against Bangladesh.

Until retirement, Muttiah Muralitharan used to bat at number 11. He scored 623 runs in 96 innings. Trent Bolt surpassed him in 69 innings. The English lost to New Zealand by 5 wickets in the Trent Bridge Test. England also won the first Test by 5 wickets.

In the second Test at Trent Bridge, New Zealand batted first and scored 553 in their first innings. In reply, England scored 539 runs in their first innings. New Zealand were bowled out for 264 in their second innings. England set a target of 299 runs.
