Shahid Afridi To Launch T10 Mega Stars League 2022
Along with various cricket boards around the world, many commercial organizations have also launched franchise leagues. This time, former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi is going to launch his own T10 league under the name of Mega Stars League and the tournament will be held in September 2022.
Shahid Afridi has retired from all forms of cricket this year. However, the star said goodbye to international cricket in 2016. The player will say goodbye to his career but will still be associated with cricket. As part of this, he is going to launch his own T-10 tournament.
The inaugural tournament is named after the Mega Stars League (MSL). Afridi said the tournament would be held in Rawalpindi in September this year. He is launching the tournament primarily to raise funds for former cricketers and athletes.
“The Mega Star League is an entertaining league,” Afridi said. The tournament will be held in Rawalpindi this year. The league is being organized mainly to financially support former cricketers, athletes and sports journalists. ”
Afridi also revealed which cricketers will play in the tournament and what the format will be. “The older cricketers who could not play in the PSL will play in this tournament,” he said. There will be cricketers like Mushtaq Ahmed, Waqar Younis and Inzamam-ul-Haq. ”
He added, “There will be six franchises in the tournament. Former foreign cricketers will also play in the tournament. ”
