After the T20 World Cup 2022, Pakistan will play a three-match Test series against England at home in December. However, Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi is uncertain for Test Series Against England 2022 as he was injured in the final match of the World Cup.
Pakistan’s pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi suffered an old knee injury in the T20 World Cup 2022 final on Sunday. For this, the doctors advised Afridi to rehabilitate at least two weeks.
Afridi hurt his knee while taking a catch in the final match against England in Melbourne. Later he left the field without completing 4 overs of the bowling quota. After bowling the first ball of the third over, the 22-year-old Afridi left the field with discomfort. In the end, Pakistan lost in the final by 5 wickets.
Regarding Afridi, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that the scan report of Afridi’s right knee did not show any signs of injury. After dismissing England’s Harry Brook, he felt uncomfortable after falling crookedly.
In a statement, the PCB said, “Afridi will be part of a rehabilitation and conditioning programme. It will take at least two weeks to complete this process.”
Pakistan’s Test series against England at home will begin on December 1. The second and third Tests will be played on December 9 and 17 respectively.
