The chief of PCB’s medical department, Najibullah Somro, announced that Shaheen Shah Afridi will be transferred to London to complete his rehab from injury. He stated, “Shahin Shah Afridi must consult a knee expert. Moreover, London offers the greatest sports rehabilitation in the world. Therefore, he is being sent there.”

Due to an injury, he will be unable to participate in both the Asia Cup and the England home tour. After this trip, Pakistan will go to Australia for the T20 World Cup. By not participating in this series, he will have insufficient preparation for the World Cup.

PCB has not yet finalised a date for his comeback to the club. Regarding this, Suleiman Somro stated, “The timing for the medical department’s return to the field will be established. We anticipate that he will return to action before to the World Cup.”

Injured in the Sri Lanka series, Shaheen Shah Afridi will miss the Asia Cup for Pakistan. There are even worries as to whether he will be available for the October T20 World Cup. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is sending him to London.

In the opening match of the two-match series against Sri Lanka, Shaheen Shah Afridi got hurt. Due to his knee injury, he was unable to play on the Netherlands trip despite being included in the team. Also eliminated from the Asia Cup. Now, PCB is sending him to rehab in London.

Shaheen Shah Afridi has represented Pakistan in 25 Tests, 32 ODIs, and 40 T20Is to date. Has taken 208 wickets so far in Pakistan jersey.
