The hidden dream of cricketers around the world is to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Irish cricketers are no exception. For Irish cricketers, playing in the IPL is still a big dream, says Ireland captain Andrew Balbirnie.

Despite playing in various popular franchise tournaments around the world, no Irishman has yet been able to play in a tournament like the IPL. According to captain Andrew Balbirnie, Irish cricketers are not yet qualified to play in the IPL.
