Dubai Based Logistics company DP World is the official Cricket Asia Cup tournament sponsor. The 16th edition of the tournament will likely commence in September, featuring six teams. The event will be played in a round-robin format. This year’s tournament will be played in the ODI format. Sri Lanka is currently the world champions of the Asia Cup.

 

Asia Cup Live Telecast TV Channels

Star Sports Network to broadcast live coverage of Asia Cup 2023 in India and its subcontinent (Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal) countries; all matches will be telecast live on digital platform Disney+ Hotstar and FanCode App.

SuperSport to telecast live coverage of DP World Asia Cup 2023 in Sub-Saharan Africa and its nearby regions; all 13 ODI matches telecast live on the SuperSport App.

PTV Sports, Ten Sports, and A Sports HD are the official broadcast partner for the Cricket Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan. The tournament will be played in an ODI format featuring six teams.

Fox Sports secured the TV rights for the tournament in Australia. Moreover, the event can be accessed through Foxtel and Kayo Sports App.

Cricket viewers in the United States can watch the entire tournament on Willow TV. At the same time, Sky Sports acquired the broadcasting rights in the United Kingdom.

Cricket fans in Saudi Arabia can watch the event on the Tapmad OTT platform, while StarzPlay and Etisalat broadcast in the United Arab Emirates. In the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries, OSN Cricket HD holds broadcasting rights.

Pakistan is struggling to convince or satisfy the BBCI to host the tournament. Last year, it was clear that Pakistan would be the next hosting country, but now, India is arising the issue of not participating in the event if Pakistan will host it. The Cricket Board of India demands a neutral venue which will likely be the United Arab Emirates.

As for now, Pakistan and India Cricket boards are trying to resolve the issue to make it possible for the event to be hosted because every Asian cricket fan is looking forward to a Pak-Indo match.
