India Captain Rohit Sharma Tests Positive for Covid-19

Before the Test match against England, the Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma tests covid-19 positive. Rohit Sharma has been kept in isolation at the hotel.

India were playing a warm-up match before facing England in a Test match in Birmingham. When Rohit was tested for corona during the match on Saturday (May 25), the result was positive. After that he was sent to isolation.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed the news of Rohit’s corona attack. In a statement, they said, “Team India captain Rohit Sharma tested positive for the Covid-19 test on Saturday. He is being held at the Team Hotel and is being cared for by the BCCI medical team. ”

The Indian team returned to the country in 2021 without finishing the series due to Corona. In the fifth Test of the series, Rohit Sharma’s team will play against England in Birmingham on July 1 this year.

Before this match, the Indian team is facing one push after another. Earlier, opener KL Rahul was ruled out due to injury . Former captain Virat Kohli and all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin were attacked by Corona. Although the last two have recovered and are already back in the game.
