David Warner Wants Cricket Australia to Lift Captaincy Ban

David Warner was banned from playing cricket after being found guilty of ball-tampering in the Test against South Africa in Cape Town. In addition, Cricket Australia (CA) banned him from becoming captain of the team. However David Warner wants to meet with the Cricket Australia to lift the captaincy ban.

In 2018, Steven Smith, Cameron Bancroft, and David Warner were banned for ball tampering in Cape Town against South Africa. Smith was allowed to return to international cricket following his suspension. Warner did not receive this opportunity following his comeback. Will arrive or not? Cricket Australia denied him the opportunity to skipper.

Even after three years after his return to cricket, David Warner has remained silent. By signing up for the Big Bash with the Sydney Thunders, he brought a fresh perspective to the conversation.

The Sydney Thunders lost their normal captain, Usman Khawaja, prior to the season’s start. They are contemplating David Warner for the position of captain. Prior to this, Cricket Australia’s approval will be necessary.

Warner is thus interested in engaging with the board. He added, “I’ve stated several times off the record that it’s the board’s responsibility to discuss with me and open their doors. “Only then can there be a genuine conversation about it,”

Warner’s face also reveals that he personally wants the leadership suspension removed. Said, “When the sentence was administered in 2018, there was a subsequent change in the board. If we communicate with them and clarify our current stance, then things will go well.”

Former Australian cricketers have previously made similar pleas to Cricket Australia. Seber, though, did not answer. We must wait a few more days to determine whether Warner’s sentence will be removed. Nonetheless, no official process has yet begun.
