T20 World Cup 2022: Shahid Afridi Advice Babar Azam to Play at Third Number

Pakistan confirmed the semi-final by winning the match with the strength of the middle order. The team’s former captain Shahid Afridi criticized the team despite confirming the last four and asked Babar Azam to play at number three.

Shahid Khan Afridi wants to see Mohammad Haris open instead of Babar Azam to give a boost to Pakistan innings. The two Pakistan openers Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, who are out of form, went down to answer the 127 runs scored by Bangladesh. They scored 57 runs in 10.3 overs. Babar scored 25 runs off 33 balls before returning. Rizwan played an innings of 32 runs off 32 balls.

Afridi said, ‘Babar needs to fire at the top of our batting order, so we need a power hitter. This is clearly seen in Haris or Shadab. Please give Haris a chance to open the innings with Rizwan. And you play number three. You have to be tough and flexible with a balanced batting line-up to win matches.’
